Blue Bunny Likes Shapes is a great book. Russell Whithead does a great job integrating literature and math. The book could be used to review a host of skills in grades Pre-K -2 including numbers, shapes, sizes, patterns, colors and rhyming words. In grades 3-5, Blue Bunny could help students distinguish between lines, line segments and points. Not only is the book interactive, Russell Whitehead challenges children of all ages and academic levels to use what they have learned to construct their own masterpieces. I initially got it for my 5 years old nephew, but realized that Blue Bunny Likes Shapes is appropriate for children up to 12 years and older or anyone who is kid at heart. With pleasure, I recommend this book.
Russell Whitehead's children's book Blue Bunny Likes Shapes is a wonderful book. I am studying to be a teacher and this book is a great addition for my future classroom library. This book includes geometry vocabulary such as lines, line segments, and points. This book combines literature and math and may be used with students Pre-K through 5th. When reading this book one does not see it as a lesson but a fun book to enjoy. I received this book at a book signing and the author has a really wonderful personality and I look forward to more of his work.
